About Indian Institute of Technology – IIT (Indore):

IIT Indore is an autonomous engineering and technology institute established in 2009 by the Indian government. It is one of the 8 new IITs and operates under the mentorship of IIT Bombay. The institute started its first session in a temporary campus and currently operates from the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), Indore. It offers B.Tech and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines. A new campus is planned to be built on 525 acres of land at Simrol, 25 km from Indore.

From Indore Railway Station

• Hire an Auto-rickshaw (fare approx. Rs. 70) or Taxi (fare approx. Rs. 200) up to IET after Asaram Bapu Chauraha, Khanwa Road. OR
• Take Indore City Bus Route no.11 and get down at IET, DAVV Campus (after Asaram Bapu Chauraha) and walk inside the campus to M-Block, IET.

From Indore airport

• Hire a Taxi from the baggage hall (fare approx. Rs. 300) from the Baggage Hall up to IET after Asaram Bapu Chauraha, Khandwa Road. OR
• Take Indore City Bus route no. 7 or 11 and get down at DAVV Campus (after Asaram Bapu Chauraha) and walk inside the campus to M-Block, IET.

Hostels for Student Accommodation:

IIT Indore offers comfortable and convenient hostel accommodation for students with two options, Hostel Kshipra and Hostel Narmada. There is also separate accommodation available for female students. Both hostels have mess facilities on the premises and are equipped with other necessary amenities.

Virtual Classroom (VCR):

IIT Indore’s advanced distance education system, Virtual Classroom (VCR), provides students with a cutting-edge online learning experience. With this technology, teachers and students can participate in live classes, group discussions, and office hours, all from the comfort of their own computer or device. The VCR offers a variety of uses, such as webinars, one-on-one training, team meetings, and more.

Campus-Wide Computer Centre:

IIT Indore boasts a well-equipped computer centre with over 250 networked PCs and the latest laptops. The institute has a campus-wide intranet and high-speed dedicated intranet links, all supported by IBM servers.

Central Library:

The Central Library at IIT Indore is a treasure trove of information with a vast collection of books, reference materials, periodicals, and more. With a collection of over 10,000 books and a variety of subscribed magazines and newspapers, students have access to a wealth of resources. The Library also provides access to online information resources such as ‘Elsevier’s Science Direct’ and various databases like ASME, DEL, and IEL Online. The Library also has a Wi-Fi enabled reading hall for students to use.

IIT Indore is proud to offer its students access to various state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with the latest technology and equipment. • TCS Scholarship: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has established the TCS Research Scholarship scheme for Ph.D students of computer science branch.
