West Bengal Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2022-23
About the Program
The West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation, a division of the Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department, is providing students from West Bengal’s EWS category and minority communities with financial aid through the West Bengal Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2022–2023 programme. The chosen individuals will get an amount of up to INR 33,000 per year as maintenance aid and admissions costs.
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must –
- be a West Bengal resident
- enrollment into a technical or professional programme.
- 50% or above in Higher Secondary or Graduation exams;
- and a yearly salary of less than INR 2.5 lakh.
Note: Applicants may also be students enrolled in professional or technical programmes at some of the mentioned universities outside of West Bengal. WBMDFC occasionally notifies such a list of institutions.

- Family income certificate
- The first page of the bank passbook
- Form for verifying an institution, properly authenticated by the Head of the Institution (HOI), in the format required.
How can you apply
Step 1: Read all the information by clicking the “Apply Now” button below.
Step 2: Select “Apply Online,” then select “Student’s Area” and “New Registration.”
Step 3: Click “Proceed” after choosing the district where the applicant’s institute is located.
Step 4: Register after providing the necessary information in the “Student Information” and “Scheme Eligibility” sections.
Step 5: Use the registered user ID and password to log in after completing the registration process.
Step 6: Complete the application, add the necessary files, and submit.
