About Presidency University – Presidency College :

The UGC has designated Presidency University Kolkata, founded in 1817, as an Institution of National Eminence. In July 2010, the institution became a university after serving for more than a century as a prominent constituent college under Calcutta University. It is accredited by NAAC with a “A” Grade and is recognised by the UGC. The university offers UG, PG, and PhD degrees in specialisations in the arts and sciences through its 17 departments. The University bases admission to all of its programmes on the results of the qualifying exam or the entrance examination.

Library

Laboratories

Computer Lab

The university’s learning architecture is enhanced by the presence of two cutting-edge computing centres. 120/ [240] high-end Dell systems and 120 Thin client machines are available in the computing centre. Two dedicated high performance servers are kept up by the centre. Additionally, the Center has a constant Wi-Fi connection.

Boys Hostel

On campus, there are separate dorms for boys and girls. Students are provided with fully furnished apartments that include common areas and separate dining areas. Additionally, the hostel has a TV and indoor activities.

Girls Hostel

Boys and girls have separate hostels at Presidency University.Students are given furnished rooms with their own eating spaces and common areas. The hostel also has a television and several indoor games.
